アユやゴリ、たくさんの生きものたちが住む川をめざして「女川に菜の花油の
灯をともす会」が発足してから22年・・・ 私たち人間のくらしを支え続け、
多くの命を育む川への供養、感謝を捧げる女川祭は今年で10回目を迎えます。
女川祭は、川が主人公のお祭りです。浅野川、通称女川にありがとうと、ごめんなさいの気持ち、
祈りを捧げる踊りと音、あかりのお祭りです。
大きな地震で2024年が明け、水の大切さ、命の大切さ、すべてのものとの
つながりをいっそう感じる今日、女川祭が次世代へ自然の大切さを伝え残し、
世界へ自然との共存を発信する祭となるよう、そして金沢の街中を流れる川の魅力、
水文化を伝える風物詩となるよう活動を続けてまいります。
It's been twenty-two years now since we founded our Canola oil lighting Association for the Asano River, called Onna-gawa, in order to raise awareness about the essential role of the river and the existence of endangered creatures which utter no words for themselves.
This is the tenth edition of the Onna-gawa Festival. On this occasion, we pay tribute to the river which supports our daily lives, human and animals included. The festival consists of dance, music and lighting, through a prayer that expresses our gratitude and apology to the river.
The year 2024 started unfortunately with a big earthquake in Noto. Now we should think again about the importance of water that keeps everything connected to us. This festival is also meant to bring home the importance of coexistence with nature to coming generations. Our Association contributes proudly to continuing cultural heritage developed around the rivers that run through Kanazawa city.
